James A. Susman
Jim started The Susman Group fifteen years ago and has been working primarily with nonprofit organizations for over twelve years. He received his degree from Drake University and entered the field of public relations. He started at a nationwide engineering firm, before moving on to a regional public relations company and two national hotel chains.
Since emerging as an independent member of the association management community, Jim has gained a wealth of experience managing organizations of various sizes and objectives. He organizes monthly meetings that regularly draw more than fifty attendees, and he coordinates several annual programs that draw more than 500. He is familiar with all of the software that a modern and efficient organization needs to stay on top, including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and several desktop publishing programs.
Abby Z. Susman
Abby provides administrative services to The Susman Group and has been filling this role ably since The Susman Group was established. She assists with correspondence, banking, meeting reservations and coordination, and on-site registration. Abby received her degree from Drake University.
The Susman Group also receives additional support from a range of individuals.
